Jo Rail graduated from Otago Polytechnic with a Diploma in Ceramics in 2007 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts at Elam in 2016. Jo is an experienced tutor having taught pottery since 2007.
Supported by Sam Dickenson, who brings a broad knowledge of ceramic techniques to her teaching.
This class is for students with some wheel and/or handbuilding experience, who are looking to improve their basic throwing techniques and try new forms and glazing techniques.
Students must:
Bring their own clay tools (some are available for purchase in the office)
Purchase their own clay (available at ASP)
Firing and glazes at student cost
Provide own dust mask and gloves for glazing
Please note:
ASP is only able to fire clay brands/types that ASP stock
Clean up and set up times are within the 3 hours allocated for class time - any pre or post studio time must be signed in and paid for at the office.
