Raku experience at ASP

Price: $35 ($15 for Saturday studio time +$20 for raku firing)

This is not a workshop, rather a Raku Experience.

Find a date that suits you and sign up for it: There are maximum 10 people per firing.

All you need to bring with you at 10am on that date is your bisqued work (when you pay for the piece to be bisque fired at ASP, make sure you let us know you only want to pay for bisque and we will discount your piece).

The Raku group does 2 or 3 firings on the day, so the length of time varies but they finish up between 2-5pm.

There isn’t really a size limit although smaller pieces will be more likely to be fired if lots of people show up with lots of work and the kiln of course, cannot take an item that won’t fit in it.

ASP provides the glaze and there are test tiles there on the day to help you choose the colours you want.

The Raku firing is $20 and there is the $15 studio fee for Saturdays, so all up $35 to take part in the Raku.
