Fiona Mackay is a ceramic artist working from her studio in Devonport. Originally trained as a furniture designer, she now brings that design background to making small-run functional stoneware ceramics. Her interest and focus is on making ceramics that are well proportioned with simple clean lines. Every piece reflects the time taken in each step of the process, highlighting her interest and love of attention to detail, texture and finish. 

About: Large Vessel Hand building Workshop

 In this workshop you will be hand building larger free form vessels, using both slab and coiling techniques.

You will be shown how to slowly build up your vessel using coils, then how to shape and refine your work using a combination of tools and finishing techniques.

Please note: firing is not included in the class fee.

Please bring food for a shared supper
Clean up times are within the hours allocated for class time
If a workshop is unable to go ahead on the planned date we will reschedule these events to a later date. Refunds will only be possible if no suitable alternative date can be found
