Diploma of Ceramics

The Otago Polytechnic, Diploma in Ceramic Arts and Design is a distance learning course that has its making modules based at the Auckland Studio Potters.

This course is for any one who is interested in turbo charging their learning of ceramics. The course emphasizes the hand in hand teaching of skills and techniques with creative thinking. We use many professional ceramic practitioners and educators to introduce you to a wide range of practices and techniques to create an array of forms and imagery for both functional ware, sculptural forms and concept based experimental work. At ASP we structure the year around school holidays and the main day that all students attend is Friday morning.

The duration Level 5 NZQA, one year Full-time; two years Part-time.
