CLAYBRATION
With 100 attendees and instructors onsite, Woodstoke #3 took place even though Covid was still afoot. One of the activities on this 3 day event was a collaborative exercise led by Laurie Steer ‘THE CLAYBRATION’ in which a throwing team had earlier made enough pots that each person had 2 to 3 pieces, by then leatherhard, that they could decorate, alter, handle, and paint with slips and glazes, an amalgamation of us all working to push our boundaries – creating in effect; art of uncertainty – learning to be comfortable with imperfections.
