The Premier Portage Ceramic Award has a prize of $15,000. There will also be to three merit awards available with a total of $3000. This year’s prize selection includes a workshop at Peters Valley School of Craft, New Jersey, USA
The overall winner, Peters Valley workshop winner and up to three merit award winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery in Titirangi, West Auckland on 10 November 2016.
The selection process
There is a two-stage process to the selection of works for the 2016 Portage Ceramic Awards .
Stage 1. Up to 60 works will be selected by the judge from submitted images and those artists will be invited to send their works to Te Uru.
Stage 2. The final selection by the judge at where she will view and select the award winners and the finalists to be exhibited.
