Centre Director:


The Centre is managed by two Directors. The vacant Director position involves general oversight of the Centre with emphasis on the management of the office, membership communications, and the database. 

It is a position full of variety and there will be constant co-operation with the second Director in areas like kiln bookings and firings, class organization, health and safety, and many other areas of activity. 

The job involves managing the ASP Teaching Centre for 3 days per week, Monday to Wednesday, 8.30 am to 5pm.

The second Director works Thursday and Friday. There will be occasional additional work outside the set hours, including ASP Committee meetings, some evening functions, and exhibitions, which will fall within the scope of the salary package.  


Office Manager:


Two days per week, 3 hours each day.

This position will involve simple data entry, receiving payments, purchasing and selling clay and tools, dealing with phone messages and emails, doing the banking.

This person will be under the direction of the Centre Directors.




Both of these positions will comprise a variety of individual tasks, and more details of these, plus salary and conditions, will be made available to those who apply. Applicants for both positions will need to present a friendly face to the general public and both will require a degree of flexibility in order to cover these many tasks.
